Fundraising concert raises £400

The Galliard Trio concert at St Michael’s was a fun and entertaining evening. There are not many classical music groups who can impress seasoned concert-goers as well as making classical music a great experience for the novice, but the Galliard Trio are one of them, and we hope one day to welcome them back to St Michael’s for an encore!

The evening raised a total of £400 after expenses, and we are so grateful once again to the Trio, Andrew, Alec and Martin.

We are grateful also to the many behind the scenes whose work and help made the evening go so smoothly and enjoyably: to Rosanna and Catherine for the hospitality they extended to the musicians, to Simon for constructing the harpsichord platform, to Catherine and John Barker for their post-concert refreshments in the Old Rectory marquee, and to others who oversaw the parking, helped set up and generally made the organisers’ lives easy!

We’ve put a selection of photos and video clips here on the Friends website for all to enjoy.
