Open Gardens raises £1400 for our church building

We had boldly dared to hope that we might equal or just exceed last year’s total raised by the Open Gardens, which was £1262. We didn’t dream that we would raise £1400! It’s a testament to the dedication and enthusiasm of everyone involved – we can’t begin to thank you all enough.

From the flower festival to the Caldecote Primary School art exhibition, to the Caldecote Playgroup pony rides, the Open Gardens was the scene of much activity. To get a taste of what went on, view the photo slideshows:

The only thing they won’t give you a taste of is the clay oven baked pizzas!

Joining together….

One of the features of this year’s Open Gardens that made it particularly special was the partnering with other local good causes. Thank you for supporting the special attractions – your money will make a difference:

  • The Pony Rides and refreshments stall at East Drive raised a total of £189 for Caldecote Playgroup
  • A plant sale at West Drive raised £100 for the Tearfund Syria appeal
  • The Fairtrade stall on Main Street sold £150 of Fair Trade goods
