Christmas Gift Tombola raises over £200
Our ‘gift tombola’ in 2012 was more than double the success of the previous year, raising a total of £207.90. Our thanks go to Roger for being our front man! And equally important, to Sheila and Lisa for some incredibly hard work wrapping presents and folding tickets. -
Open Gardens raises an incredible £1262.08
What can we say? We are truly humbled by the generosity and enthusiasm of all who took part in this year’s Caldecote Open Gardens. To raise over £1200 is a real testament to the energy that went into the event from so many people, and we are very grateful to the garden owners and visitors [...] -
Flower Arranging Event: Fundraising total
We are delighted to announce that the June Flower Arranging Event raised £593.90, bringing the total amount raised in June (including the Open Gardens) to over £1800 – well beyond even our ambitious hopes! This event could not have happened or been the success it was without the Barker family and Moira and her team. [...] -
Pennies roll over the £1500 mark!
When we started the Jam Jar “Every Penny Counts” project, deep down we suspected our target of raising £1000 was a little on the ambitious side. We never dreamt that by the summer we would have collected enough pennies to break through the £1500 mark. To date, £1520 has been raised, and the pennies are [...] -
Every penny counts… up to £1491!
Very many thanks to those who are continuing to bring jars of pennies to us – the total sum raised is now £1491, and the previously unimagined target of £1500 beckons! We are delighted and most grateful for so much generosity. If your jam jar has been missed or you are kindly keeping on collecting [...] -

Jam Jar count-up and celebration
A great time was had by all at our pancake celebration held on Sunday February 12th! Gift tombola raises £85
Our ‘gift tombola’ was an outstanding success with the children at the 2011 School Christmas Fayre. The stall was cleaned out in little over an hour, and we raised £85. Many thanks to everyone involved in wrapping such enticing packages, and then for supporting us at the Fayre. -
Thank you to our supporters – your 2011 donations will raise £1000
In January we wrote to our core supporters, and once again they responded generously with one-off donations and regular standing order donations. We want to take this opportunity to publicly thank these supporters – over £1000 is pledged to come into the Friends account from their personal donations. It’s a significant part of our fundraising [...] -
The pennies are adding up!
In the coming weeks and months we’ll be collecting in the jam jars for our Every Penny Counts! fundraising project. In fact, we’ve already begun – and the pennies really are adding up: so far to £172.50! We are so grateful to all involved, and look forward to seeing what the grand total will be. [...]
