Thank you to everyone who contributed both food and money to our Harvest Thanksgiving collections – as well as gathering items to be made into food parcels, we also raised £200, both for The Besom’s support of those in need living in the Cambridge area. (more…)

When our Every Penny Counts campaign began six years ago, we hoped to raise a couple of hundred pounds. Thanks to a collection over the Open Gardens weekend of £40.15, we are now within touching distance of an incredible £2,500!
Huge thanks to all our gardeners, artists, plant growers, the list goes on… and our record turnout of visitors. We doubled our usual fundraising total with this year’s Caldecote Open Gardens! (more…)
A new stained glass window design is now in situ, created in memory of Dr Colin Bibby and in thanksgiving for his life and work. The money that was raised in his memory have funded important restoration work on some of our windows, due to be completed in the coming two weeks – you can already see the amazing difference it has made.
Caldecote Open Gardens this year is set to be bigger and better than ever! Visit 14+ gardens over the first weekend of July. Gardens are open from 2pm to 6pm on Saturday 1st and Sunday 2nd and offer a wealth of things to do and see for all the family.
On 1st May the gardens of Childerley Hall were opened to the public to raise funds for the church. It’s part of a plan to get the church finances on a secure footing for the future, and we’re delighted to report that we raised £1250 on the day. (more…)
