Road closure info this Sunday (18th June)

Our 11am service will be held as usual this Sunday, Father’s Day. We are looking forward to welcoming Corin and Nicky Redsell, and it would be lovely to see you too! Please do however read the information below and leave extra time to get to the church if you are coming from Highfields Caldecote, especially if you live up the Strympole Way end of the village.

Cross-Country Races – road closure
The PTA of Caldecote Primary School are organising children’s cross-country races on Sunday to raise money for the school. The southern end of Highfields Road will be closed from 10am to 2pm.

  • For the majority of people coming from Highfields to the church there will be a diversion in place taking you round through Bourn – please leave extra time.
  • However if you live in the Blythe Way, Strympole Way or Furlong Way areas, the road is closed except for escorted access when it is safe to do so. This will mean access will be severely restricted between 10am and 11.30am – cars will not be allowed onto the road while there are runners, which may mean a significant delay until the road is clear and you are allowed to proceed. It’s recommended that you take your car out of the closed area before it closes at 10am.

A map showing the closure can be found on the Roadworks website at https://roadworks.org/?tmi=1212850

If you know others who may not know about the road closure, please do pass on the information.
