The weather couldn’t have been better on Easter Monday for this year’s Childerley Open Gardens, and people came out in droves to enjoy this special place.
It was wonderful to meet so many people who were discovering Childerley for the first time, and coming from nearby villages, from Cambridge and from further afield.
Huge thanks go to the Jenkins family for making us so welcome, and to the gardeners who had worked hard for weeks to bring the gardens to their best. We are also immensely grateful to so many people who baked some amazing cakes and helped out in numerous ways on the day itself.
Childerley Hall Open Gardens is a crucial element of our annual budget which allows us to serve our local community through regular worship, weddings, baptism and funerals. The total takings on the day were £2,300! This was a truly community effort, so thank you again to all involved.
