During this interregnum (the technical term for the time after one vicar leaves and the next arrives), we’ve taken the opportunity to teach ourselves a bit more about how we fit into the wider Church structures, locally, nationally and internationally.
It’s all too easy in the business of everyday parish life to miss out on this important aspect of our identity as Anglicans – the community which is the worldwide Body of Christ.
Following a discussion on the topic at a PCC meeting last year, I put together a visual guide to our relationships with the wider church, which I thought I’d share here for anyone else interested. It’s a work in progress, so if you spot an error, or indeed if something has changed since it was compiled, do leave a comment!
