There are a number of events coming up in Cambridge that you might enjoy, hosted by the Faraday Institute and St Matthew’s Church. Read more for details….

Lunch Time Seminars at St Edmund’s College, held at The Faraday Institute, St Edmund’s College, Mount Pleasant, Cambridge, CB3 0BN on alternate Tuesdays during term time, at 1 pm. A free lunch and drinks served from 12 noon All are welcome:

  • 6 February, Concepts of Sin and the nature of social life: Anthropology and theology of atonement, by Prof Joel Robbins (University of Cambridge)
  • 20 February, Resisting blind chance and ’senseless’ cosmos: Historical perspectives on science, ethics and nature, by Dr Louise Hickman (Newman University, Birmingham)
  • 6 March, The search for meaning amidst cosmic annihilation, transhumanism and the last judgement, by Dr Michael S Burdett (Oxford University).
